  • I am IN network for Aetna and Blue Cross through Headway. I don’t take other insurance plans but many providers will reimburse a portion of the cost of therapy when you pay out-of-pocket.

I can provide a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement, which varies depending on your plan. It’s a good idea to reach out to your provider in advance if you have questions about payment.

    • How much is my deductible? What do you cover once I've satisfied the deductible?

    • What is the process for submitting claims for out-of-network services? Am I required to submit any documentation or forms?

    • Is pre-authorization needed before beginning therapy?

  • Life happens, but please cancel appointments at least 24 hours in advance. If you are scheduled for an appointment and do not attend or cancel within 24 hours, you will be billed for the session.

  • You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
